Thanks to short lines of communication and a personal approach, we stay within budget and on schedule. We offer a wide range of audiovisual equipment including line-array sound systems, LED screens, intelligent lighting and professional rigging. It all started about 30 years ago: for 50 guilders (around 23 euros today) and a crate of beer, the name Smile was bought together with an answering machine, a fax and a rolodex. A symbolic beginning, but the start of a remarkable journey. With a few lights, a sound system and a whole lot of enthusiasm, Remko and a group of close technician friends began building what Smile is today: a trusted technical partner for countless events.

Over the years, Smile grew step by step. In 2005, the ambitious Frank joined the team. Frank and Remko turned out to be a perfect match, the cheerful optimist and the punctual realist. Projects got bigger, the network expanded and more and more partners found their way to Smile.

Today, the management team consists of three, with Guus as the latest addition. Together with a tight team of 12 permanent professionals (and countless freelancers), we are Smile. What’s never changed? Our mindset: hands-on, collaborative and always having fun.
